Ingredients
500 gm turkey
Salt to taste
2 tbsp chilli powder
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup water
For Grinding
1 cup grated coconut
1 tbsp fennel seeds
5 cm piece cinnamon
For Masala
3 tbsp coconut oil
1 large onion, sliced thinly
3 slit green chillies
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tsp chilli powder
1.5 tbsp coriander powder
2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
Coriander leaves (a handful chopped)
Directions
1. Heat a pan, add coconut oil, gently place the turkey, and then add salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder. Sautee everything for 15 minutes.
2. Take coconut and other ingredients mentioned under ‘For Grinding’ in a blender and grind them into a thick paste.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Add onion and chillies and saute until lightly golden.
4. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute.
5. Add in salt, chilli powder, coriander and garam masala powder and saute for 30 seconds or so.
6. Add in the meat and toss well in the masala. Keep cooking until it gets a nice colour.
7. Add in coconut masala and mix well. Cook this for a few more minutes.
8. Add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot garnished with curry leaves.
